How to Care for your Pueblo Pottery
Some practical tips for caring for your Pueblo Indian Pottery:
To display & general care:
Place pottery atop sturdy, wide shelves or other flat surfaces. To avoid dust collection, place your pottery in an enclosed showcase. Keep pottery away from excessive heat, light, or moisture, as this can affect/damage the clay and/or paint of the pottery. You may consider placing clean sand in the bottom of pottery to give it extra weight at the base, as to prevent movement during earthquakes & other tumultuous events. Note: Extreme caution is to be taken when using "museum wax" or other substances designed to stick the bottom of pottery to shelving, as these products may leave permanent marks or stains on the pottery. We do not recommend sticking anything onto pottery as damage to the finish / paint may occur. To dust:
Dust and other fine-grain materials may collect on your pottery if left uncovered and exposed to the daily environment of your home or office. Should you want to dust off your pottery, do so extremely gently - using a light feather duster or cloth diaper / computer screen cloth. Do not apply pressure to the surface of the pot as you dust, as scratching may otherwise occur. Scratches and other mars may drastically reduce your pottery's value, so take extreme care while dusting. To remove blemishes or to repair cracks/dents:

To store:
It is often a good idea to wrap your pottery up in saran wrap (clear plastic wrap) before wrapping it in bubble wrap or soft towels. Do not wrap your pottery in newspaper/other paper as the paper fibers can scratch the finished surface of your pottery and instantly reduce its value. Store your items in a stable environment, out of excessive light, heat or moisture conditions. To ship:
