Forrest Naranjo was born in 1963, Forrest Naranjo is a Santa Clara Pueblo potter of Tewa descent, from the Bear Clan. He is the son of renowned potter Bernice Suazo-Naranjo, brother of Dusty Naranjo, and father of Johnathan Naranjo, all accomplished Santa Clara potters.

Karen Naranjo-Samaniego was born in 1967 on the Navajo Reservation, Karen Naranjo-Samaniego is a full-blooded Native American of Navajo descent. She married Forrest Naranjo and moved to Santa Clara Pueblo, adopting its pottery traditions.
