A Zuni wolf fetish is a hand-carved stone sculpture created by artisans from the Zuni Pueblo, an Indigenous community in western New Mexico. These fetishes are small, intricate representations of animals, believed to embody the spirit of the animal within the stone. The wolf, known in Zuni as Yuna:wikko’o, is a particularly revered figure in Zuni culture, symbolizing loyalty, family bonds, guidance, and the balance between independence and communal ties. Wolf fetishes are often used for protection, healing, or as talismans to invoke qualities like teamwork and inner wisdom.
