early to mid 20th century
The skirt measures 34" across the top and 41" across the bottom.
Ann unusual item, with snaps along one side; fringe with beads. The fringe hanging down measure about 14" in length. I would assess the skirt in very good to excellent condition with the only blemishes a missing silver button, very minor bead loss, a few missing balls/beads around the fringe and two small nail holes at the side where it was hung.
Collectors note: As a bit of background, my grandfather, George Wick, was a major collector of western artifacts. He even built a private museum in San Diego to house his extensive collection of stagecoaches, firearms, pictures, bronzes and American Indian artifacts. In 1974, he gave the bulk of his collection to the City of San Diego and the State of California while holding back a few items for his family. Through my mother I eventually inherited the items.
