1244-092 Navajo Rug; Wide Ruins Regional Style
Banded Classic Blanket Revival
60" x 38"
A densely woven rug with a firm, almost canvas-like handle which makes it very crisp in pattern and would allow it to be used both on the floor or displayed on the wall or over furniture. Bold gray, black and white bands on a field of gold toned wool.
Classic Revival denotes a late 20th century weaving which displays the characteristic of a 19th century Navajo blanket in pattern, color and proportions. By it's very nature this is a very traditional style. The Storm Pattern is derived from Sand Painting designs.
