Twined basket showing remnant of pine pitch between stitches; has some rim wear and leans a bit but is in overall very good condition considering age and native use.
Very large pitched Tus, water basket, with three heavy leather lugs sewn into basket; with original wire reinforcement around rim; with water stain near base; with some rim wear and overall wear consistent with an ethnically used basket but in overall excellent condition. Very large. Ex-Hertzinger Photo Studios, Globe AZ; used in early 20th c. photo studio which specialized in portraits of Apaches for use on early 20th c. tourist postcards etc.
