Early Navajo Blanket
ca. 1880-1890; 23" x 18" ; Recently professionally cleaned. Wool weft, cotton warp. We have left the one end with the cleaners stabilizing netting protecting the worn which can be removed on request. Small blankets like these were often used for babies.

There are partial selvage cords on both sides although the top end looks to have been shortened about 3" .
One can either enjoy as is, hand sew a cloth ribbon on the end or turn it over and hand sew down.
