Zuni Bobcat Fetishes
In Zuni culture, bobcat fetishes (sometimes also seen as wildcats or lynxes) are not widely carved. It represents favorable hunting, as in the case of hunting antelope.
Zuni Bobcat fetish carvings are not traditional but they can be seen carved by many of the master contemporary Zuni fetish carvers, often in high detail. They are identified by their short, bobbed tail and their whiskers extending outwards on the sides of their face. They are very often carved in a dynamic pose or stance, seemingly ready to pounce, attack, or run.
We carry a great selection of Zuni bobcat fetish carvings. Available fetishes can be viewed and ordered via our Online Catalog here.
