A particularly fine example with high red polish; well balanced form and motif; excellent condition.
BJ Fragua
This young potter is the daughter of Juanita Fragua, one of the potters responsible for the renaissance of Jemez pottery. B J works in a style somewhat reminiscent of her mother's but it has a more contemporary feel. She is one of the best young potters to emerge from Jemez Pueblo in recent years and many awards testify to this fact. B J also has a sister, Glendora Fragua, who is a also a very talented and recognized potter and a brother,
Clifford Fragua, one of the best known Indian sculptors. She is a member of a very talented family.
