2 3/4" long approx, 1 1/2" wide from tip of snout to side of body, 1"h at tip of ear
In Zuni culture, bears represent healing, protection, wisdom and strength.
Known to dig up medicinal roots from the ground, bears are excellent healers and, with their size, make impressive protectors.
Zuni Bear fetish carvings are commonly carved and are very traditional.
The bear is part of six-directional fetish carvings, along with mountain lions, badgers, wolves, eagles and moles.
