Eskimo carving, Very old Walrus Tusk carved by Sam Dimmick of Nome Alaska, 2020 depicting many different Alaskan animals including Eagle, Right Whale, Narwhale, and salmon.
Sam is a noted artist from Nome, Alaska who is well known throughout the Native Art world. His work is shown throughout North America at Major museum shows
Regarding my style of carving, "... it was the work that Lee Millot that taught me, he was a master Carver, a Nez Perce indian. He went to St. Lawrence Island, Nunivak island, and carved with the natives (but) I was the only one that he let me see how its done (in this tusk style).
