LEARN - North American Indian Basketry

Picture
Antique Indian Basketry is one of the most important Native American art forms on the market today. Most date from 1850-1930. One can note a change from utility and traditional use baskets to baskets made for sale to the white collector as early as 1890 within certain tribes, and by 1920 within most tribes.
